Calcium =strong bones (prevents bone loss) [do mention that magnesium helps aid in calcium absorption]
Berries and leafy greens=antioxidants (prevents cancer)
Oatmeal=lowered cholesterol
Fiber=good digestive health
Water=good for the kidneys
Complex Carbohydrates=energy
Protein=good for the muscles
Omega threes=prevent childhood ADHD and help with brain functioning
Strawberries and spinach=brain food

Well without adequate dietary intake the body's metabolism slows down to compensate for the lack of energy. Also, you are more likely to have deficiencies with a limited amount of food intake.
