Real maple syrup is great, I take it just for the minerals and carbs. I train alot and burn alot of calories so it doesn't affect my weight. your specific diet I'm not on top of, but as a sweetener it would be good. I do juice whole lemons and mix it with real apple cider or juice. Good luck.
