Orange Juice: fresh squeezed vs. a serving of fruit?!

Question: They say that you need 3-5 servings of fruit each day. One orange is one serving. If you read the label on orange juice, 8 oz is one serving. If you make fresh squeezed orange juice, you are using about 6 oranges in order to make 8 oz.

So, my question is, when comparing fresh squeezed to already packaged OJ, are you getting 6 servings in one glass of fresh squeezed, or are you only getting 1?

Thank you!

you are not eating the pulp or getting all of the fiber that you would if you ate the orange.

It is still good for you with vitamin C etc but not as good if you ate one full orange.

Nutritionists always seem to downplay OJ (probably because it tastes good), but I love it. Makes me feel great, and I never get colds. Probably one glass would be considered one serving.

I can't answer that specifically, however I do know, if you remove just the orange peeling off and leave the white on an orange you will retain bioflavanoids. If you were to juice with a juice extractor one orange and a whole lemon mixed with apple juice, you will have a very potent drink that will fulfill your c requirements for the day. There are as I say other anti oxidant value and some minerals as well. I require more C than probably most people and it is super for extra energy.
