How to stop eating!!!!?!


Question: My mum bless her....makes me three meals a day still!

but i usually stuff my face between meals how can i stop doing this.

I am not gaining weight, and i have natrually boney arms and legs, but i can pinch about 2-3 inches. I exercise lots- football

Try EFT when you want to snack...(emotional freedom technique) it works.

If your not gaining weight why worry.
Go out more to stop you snacking.
If you go work take less food so your not tempted to eat.
You can't eat what you havn't got.
Carry on exercising though

don't eat junk, junk just keeps you hungry, e.g. bread, crisps and sugary sweats. try snacking on nuts or fruit.

Eating 5-7 small meals a day is really great for your metabolism. Obviously, don't make it junk food, though.

The reason is that when you eat many small meals, you take in calories at the rate you burn them, so nearly none of it gets processed as fat, and you maintain a healthy metabolic cycle. if you eat a large meal, you ingest a lot more calories than your body needs at the time, and what isn't burned is precessed as fat.

So keep it up, just keep it healthy.

THe reason you stuff your face in between and still aren't gaining weight is because your body is needing those extra calories because you work out.
Go to a dietician or a gym and have them do a body fat precentage check on you to see if you fall into the normal range. If you don't they will recommend an appropriate diet and work out for you. If you do, then you need not worry. Your fine.
But to me it sounds like your being obsessed with being thin. I am 5'7, 120 lbs. Most people say I am too skinny and I can pinch about 2 or three inches, sometimes more.

Maybe it's because you're waiting too long to eat your next meal so you stuff your face in the meantime. Try snacking in between like every 2-3 hours. Like say after you eat your breakfast, wait about 2 hours, then eat an apple and a small bag of raw nuts. Then after your lunch, do the same except change up your snacks like something crunchy, maybe baked chips or carrots and such. Find what you like to eat and just minimize your meal sizes and turn them into snacks throughout the day.

if your exercising all the time, as you said you play football, then i wouldnt worry as much because it will naturally give you an appetite, which is a good thing. if you enjoy fruit try snack on these between meals. your mum is providing you with your three meals a day which is the healthiest thing you could be doing by eating them as its worse for you if you were to skip a meal and to be snacking. if your like my boyfriend who doesnt like fruit and snacks on chocolate between meals instead dont worry because he plays footy everyday and is realy slim.

It may be that you're not getting enough carbohydrate with your meals. Try having more wholegrains like brown rice and see if this helps.

If not, I find drinking a warm drink like fruit tea fills me up without the calories.

It may not even be hunger, you may just be bored so could try doing an activity you enjoy when you start to feel cravings.

If all else fails I find brushing my teeth soon after eating means I'm less likely to snack later.

if your not gaining weight then your obviously eating and exercising an equal amount to balance yourself out.
But it may be possible that you may end up gaining weight, so to stop snacking I'd suggest you just keep yourself busy. It doesnt have to be exercise, but playing games, reading, go out with your friends there is lots of choices. TV is not a good choice for long cos you will snack!

Another way would be to ask your mum to buy healthier snacks so it isnt so bad when you do snack. Maybe fruit or healthy snacks!!

you have to have three meals a day. maybe you still feel hungry after and you can have fruits for a snack instead of chips or whatever else might tempt you.
