Do wide pull ups give you wide lats?!
Question: I've been informed that wide pull ups are fine, but they can cause extra tension on the shoulder.
If you're using machines, it's better to use various angled rows in conjunction with a more narrow grip (from the bend in the bar on in) for lat work.
It's more the amount of work with an appropriate weight that builds the muscle more than just the angle. Full range of motion is always best.
