P90x Help!?!

Question: Hi, my friend let me borrow p90x, however, I don't know how to start because she did not give me any instruction....

I've decided to do the Classic, Phase 1.

This is what's written: Week 1, 2, 3 are normal workouts.THEN week 4 is a recovery week.

It then lists a bunch of workouts:

1. Chest & Back, Ab Ripper X
2. Plyometrics
3. Shoulder & Arms, Ab Ripper X
4. Yoga X
5. Legs and Back, Ab Ripper X
6. Kenpo X
7. Rest or X Stretch

On Rest day:

Yoga X
Core Synergistics
Kenpo X
X Stretch
Core Synergistics
Yoga X
Rest or X Strech

My question is: How does this all work?

Do I do workouts 1-7, for week ONE through THREE every single day for 7 days?

Then on week 4 I do the Rest Day workouts every single day for 7 days as well?

Thank you so much!

Yes you do the rest day workouts as well. Rest days means you don't work as hard so your body can recover a bit, it doesnt mean you dont exercise at all.

rule of thumb is generally that you should not work the same muscles to days in a row, as for the rest's i generally do a 3 day split for each i only rest one day a week, and i do my yoga, Pilate's, body balance, cycle, and cardio in between, you do what you feel is right.
