Whole milk has more calories vs. 2% milk. If you only drink one 8 oz. glass everyday and you like whole milk then continue. You may have to cut calories elsewhere to accomodate the 1200 calorie diet.

Whole milk is very fattening you should cut down to semi-skimmed.

drink skim

No, whole milk is mom.

I suggest to get to the 2% milk or to the skim one whole is too much for what little you have to eat

Actually whole milk is better for you than skim.

And more than likely, you're doing yourself more of a disservice by starving yourself on such a limited diet.

Actually, a recent study has shown that whole milk actually helps reduce cholesterol (I don't have a link for it but if I find it later I'll come back and post it). Depending on how old you are will probably dictate whether you should or not. If you're really young and active, you'll burn off any excess fat and calories. If your older (which doesn't seem to be the case) then skim milk would be better because you still need the Calcium, but not so much the fat and calories.

Actually any milk is bad for you unless it is organic, and then it's questionable. however, if you have to drink it (like I do) then use 1%.

Any studies done to show that "milk is a natural" or the "got milk" commercials are crap. they have all been funded by the dairy council which is supposed to promote the product despite any bad effects it has.

Would you ask a car salesman "should I buy that car?" What do you think he will say?

It CAN be bad, depending on how used, but that's the way everything is, of course. Having it for breakfast is fantastic. It's so thick and has so many calories that it's basically like eating a meal. So you're basically having a meal replacement drink. You might try having your glass of milk with a piece of fruit or something, for fiber. Perhaps an apple.

The calcium is excellent for helping block fat, and for your bones, of course.

You're fine :)
