its better to take about 20-30 minutes before so you dont use break down muscle for energy. also if u lift weights take a shake after. if you want to do cardio just wait about 30 minutes after u take shake then go to cardio(if u dont u will probably puke it up)

Yes, I do it all the time espically after long runs. You just have to remember it will cause you to gain weight, so be careful how much you take. If you are combining working out and cardio, then you should be fine.
