Yes, about 15 pounds in two months

side affects, listed below include weight gain in some people. i know this to be true of other ssri's as well. one example is paxil.

Zoloft? is classified pharmacologically as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, commonly known as SSRIs. The use of SSRIs and related drugs may be associated with side effects such as sexual function abnormalities that can occur in up to 60% of the people taking SSRIs. Discontinued use, especially when abrupt, may result in spontaneous side effects including anxiety, irritability, headaches, insomnia, and confusion. Side effects may also include insomnia, dry mouth, nausea, diarrhea, and decreased sexual drive. Zoloft? can cause anorexia (weight loss) in some people and weight gain in others.

my uncle gained 37 lbs

I didn't, but I have known people who have either gained or lost weight on all of the SSRI-type antidepressants. I have read that the average person on Zoloft loses 7 pounds, but most of the studies are paid for by drug companies, so who can trust them?

Paxil (paroxetine) is the one that is notorious for causing weight gain. But everyone's metabolism is different, and I'm sure there's someone out there that actually lost weight while taking it.

yes, my weight is 10 pounds heavier than what it was before i took the medicine.
