So fed up of being ill..?!
Question: I take vitamin c and zinc. I don't smoke. I get around 8 hours sleep a night. I drink plenty of water. I eat a healthy diet full of fruit and veg. I don't drink more than a few units of alcohol a week. I wrap up warm in winter. And yet I seem to get every virus or cold going, and I'm sick of it.
I've been to see a GP, who confirmed that I'm not anaemic and I don't have an underactive thyroid. He concluded that "I must be unlucky."
Does anyone know anything I can take, apart from vitamin c and zinc, to stop getting ill all the time? Or should I try and see a specialist?
Please help!

There could be a number of reasons why you get so many colds. Stress, for eg. can lower your immune defences. Also the antioxidants, of which one is Vit c plus others found in fruit and veg, work best as a network and these are good immune defence boosters. There are tests available which can give you an indication of how good your fruit and veg intake actually is. Perhaps you should see a nutritionist. Hope you start feeling better soon.
I get sick often and noticed that taking Airborne helps cut my recovery in half or more. Try it. Report It
