The most nutritious bread is the kind that 'springs back' when squeezed. That honey oat bread was most likely white flour based and so, while not as evil perhaps as Wonder white is still not as healthy as bread can be.

The best whole grain breads out there can be found at health food stores and in some groceries that carry organic and vegetarian items. The grocery store I go to has natural whole grain "sprouted" breads not in the bread area but in the refrigerated section near the produce aisle where they 'hide' the organic milk, vegan cheese, tofu and organic produce.

If you check out a bread like that, you'll note how dense it is, how it doesn't stay squished when you give it a squeeze. Some find it a bit TOO whole grain but I love it. It's truly whole grain, rather than some whole wheats in the bread aisle that may have some whole wheat flour in them but may not have the germ and heart of the wheat. Unless it says 100% whole wheat, then it's not whole wheat to me.

If you're looking to eat healthy while you're eating out, it will be trickier. Just because a bread looks brown and has 'oat' or 'wheat' in the name doesn't mean it's whole grain. It's just dolled up white bread. Marketing agents love adding words like 'whole grain' and 'natural' but there's no regulations on those words so, get in the habit of reading labels and knowing what you're eating if you're really looking for a healthy bread choice. Also, know that once and a while a honey oat bread sub won't hurt but if you really want to eat uber-healthy then eat more at home.

i dont think its nutritious!

buy some whole wheat bread

yeah whole wheat/meal/bran bread is the best because its unrefined carbohydrates and contains a source of fibre that white bread lacks. I would recommend the honey oat because too much sugar, but then i wouldnt recommend subwat because there salads and cheese might be low in cals but arent freash and arent necessarily healthy.

Try whole wheat bread.

sounds like a gimmick to me.........

u can try pita bread
or u may try the brown bread these are gd

skip the bread in favor of some fruit, lean meats, or a nice salad

ANYTHING whole GRAIN, not whole wheat, you want whole grain, is good for you

The best bread (that I know of) is whole wheat bread. Not partial not honey. You need complete whole wheat, it breaks down easier. Its not always the best tasting at first, just keep it fresh and you will definetly get used to it.

I get that too, it is not a whole grain bread, but about the best they have.

At the grocery store make sure it says %100 whole grain, or whole wheat, or whatever...otherwise it is only PART whole grain.

Too much sugar and carbs in those breads... the only healthy bread is 100% whole wheat.

I dont know to much about that bread but try "Google" for the facts. Good Luck!

The bread you want is 100% whole wheat bread. Not just wheat, or whole wheat. The 100% is what's good for ya!

try whole wheat, or hearty grain or something from Arnold bread.
