Sorry for the wall of text.
It is possible for most people to gain weight. We're looking for a healthy weight gain, not just adding body fat. That means, instead of loading up on junk foods and high-fat nutritional nightmares like cookies and candies, treating yourself to nourishing foods that will help you add muscle and body mass.

How? With these easy tips:
* Eat three meals every day. Yes, this means you need to get up in time for breakfast, that you can't skip lunch, and that dinner actually needs to be prepared and eaten.
* Eat three snacks every day. That's right: midmorning, midafternoon and evening. In order to gain weight, you need to fuel your body at regular times. The easiest way is to set up a schedule of three meals and three snacks.
* Stop drinking non-caloric beverages. That includes diet soda, and plain coffee or tea. You're looking for calories, right? Choose skim or 1 percent milk (we want healthy calories, not fat, so avoid milk with higher fat contents), 100 percent fruit juice or sports drinks.
* Choose calorie-dense foods. That means eating potatoes, corn or peas instead of celery and carrot sticks. Or choosing a banana or cranberry juice instead of an apple or orange juice. Granola cereal is more calorie-dense than puffed rice. Read food labels for the serving size and the calories, and make it a habit to routinely choose foods that are higher in calories.
* Expand your meals. Each meal should include some type of starchy food (potato, rice, pasta, bread, cereal), fruits and vegetables, and a protein source (chicken, red meat, fish, tofu, peanut butter, legumes, eggs, cheese). Use two or three teaspoons of margarine or salad dressing with each meal to add moderate amounts of fat without going overboard.
* Exercise. Regular exercise and activity will help your body gain muscle and not unwanted fat. Thirty minutes of daily activity is plenty to get your system moving yet not so much that you're burning up tons of calories. If you are more active, you'll need to increase your calorie intake.

i have the same problem.

trust me you dont want to just be fat. you should eat healthy, and exercise,,,even if that sounds liek it would make you lose weight. it really helped me & i have gained 16 pounds in 3 months by exercising and eating healthy! you know why? its muscle!! I am really happy with my body noww :)

ok this is going to be a big answer im going to tell you everything i know about lifting and gaining weight

i take whey protein glutamine and creatine
i sugest taking all
if you take creatine u have to go on for a month and thn off and cycle them

this is what i do
-mourning= protien and glut
40 minutes b4 workout-creatine
with 20 minutes after-protein and glut
u should not wait an hour

creatine builds muscle by about 300% when taking it
glutamine repairs muscle quickly
these are not steroid because they are found in the body

work out about 3 to 5 times a week

i take glutamine in the mourning because i have gone without eating for 7 hours and my body has taken in all of my glutamine that i have in my body
i take my protein in the mouring for the same reason

i was 5'2" 100 pounds even when i started about 2 months ago and now i am 5'3" and 110 now

hopefully this helps

I have the same problem but i'm shorter. Try working out and eat lots of carbs! Working out gives you muscels so that u won't look as thin, but u will still be light.

You want to make sure that youre eating more calories than youre expending. You probably have a super high metabolism and thats why you can eat way more than your friends and still not gain any weight. Remember to eat all your healthy food and then some more. If you cant eat more, then you might want to go see a doctor to see if you have an overactive thyroid. Go see a registered dietician if you have the money or insurance.

well you could eat fast food every day and u'l gain weight (but thats not very healthy)......or you could work out and eat ALOT of healthy food and gradually gain. The excess calories left over from exercise will help you gain weight and not just fat, but muscle 2

Trying to gain weight in this point in your life is really not a good idea. When I was a teenager I could eat like crazy and not gain a pound. This is true with most teens that have high motabalism like yours. I did eat like crazy when I was a teen and it put me into very poor eating habits. Now as an adult I can't lose the weight. I get cravings for the foods that I ate as a teen so bad it's incredible. So, take my advice, just make sure to eat healthy, get plenty of sleep and exercise, and everything will be ok. I was 5ft 6 and so skinny I could suck in my stomach, put my hands around my waist and touch my fingers and my thumbs. No I am probably about 50lbs overweight.

Many teenagers are very thin, but they put on weight automatically as they grow older. This is because teenagers have a very high metabolic rate and burn calories fast. So teenagers should not try to put on weight by eating fatty food, since it is difficult to lose this fat later.
