When trying to lose weight, how often should I schedule a ''cheat day!


Question: I do once a week, and I get a small extra something, like a bit of ice cream, a piece of dark chocolate, etc. The cheat day does NOT mean go out and eat McDonalds, a tray of cupcakes, a carton of ice cream, a cake, candy, popcorn, and KFC. No. It means a little treat that your diet normally does not allow. If you pig out once a week, you will never see results. If you're going to go a bit bigger than an extra 100-300 calorie dessert, I would make it once a month. Good luck, hope I helped!

once a week but don't go overboad or you are going to put back on the pounds for ex just eat a skinny cow ice cream sandwich

dont have a cheat day. just maybe a cheat meal. try to do this less frequently than once a month!!! rather than starving yourself at very low caloric intake try to be very consistant at maybe 1500 cal, where you eat at regular scheduled times through out the day. be sure to always eat similar sized portions at the same times. Your body gets used to regular caloric intake and will start to burn off everything you put in it at that time of day, almost like it has memory. The more frequently you feed yourself, the faster your metabolism goes aka more weight loss. Try getting up earlier in the morning and getting breakfast... this will help start your metabolism up earlier in the day.

once a week is fine, Just don't over do it!

i think it should be one time every month. but i cant hold on that long so i cheat when i am on a diet one time a week. but you have to have a cheat day no matter what. when your body is on a diet or on a routine you need to surprise it. otherwise you are just going to loose weight and then just maintain it at one level instead of loosing loosing loosing.

the cheat day should only be till 12:00pm. so wake up early and start eating!!! lol
