Anyone else a carb addict?!

Question: I think I am seriously addicted to carbs. If I stopped eating them, or mostly stop, I would probably melt off 20 lbs before I know it which is around what I am trying to lose. Any suggestions? Just quitting cold turkey does not work for me.

Yes. Definately addicted to carbs. My weight is fine - but I try to balance the carbs with fruits and veggies. If I eat a bagel for breakfast, I try to lighten the carb load at lunch or dinner. Or start your day with fruit and yogurt, then you have more options the rest of the day. You can also burn a lot of it off with exercise. I hit the gym a few times a week. Cardio is great, but don't forget that weight training builds muscle which in turn burns calories even at rest. Good luck!

You probably have nutritional deficiencies

Yep...I'm able to eat a whole loaf of Italian bread, by MYSELF. XD
I can't stop it sometimes...;(

yeah!!!!

but i'm not worried about my weight!

Do it day by day. One day, take out one carb from your diet. The next day, take out 2. Keep going until you're eating a moderate amount of carbs.

Another way is to manage your portion sizes. Eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.

Also, try filling up on healthier foods like fruits, veggies, lean meats, yogurt, nuts, etc. Drink plenty of water to fill yourself up too!

good luck :)

Okay just so you know, carbs, or at least most, ARE GOOD FOR YOU.

same i am a vegetarian and i don't like the test of vegetables so i mainly just eat things from the fruit group, dairy group, and a lot of the stuff from carbs but here is a little advice don't quit cold turkey but switch all your carbs to whole grain it's much healthier and also limit your in take. hope i helped.

Switch to whole grain & wheat bread, pasta,
If you have to eat potatoes:
Try making homeade french fries .
Put some olive oil & spices on them.. then throw them in the oven.
or
By Baked Chips, but eat them in moderation.

Cutting one can of sugared soda a day will make you lose 20 lbs. in one year.
