Is this a healthy snack?!

Question: I'm used to snacking alot, And I've been trying to tone it down lately. The thing I'm trying right now is one cup of 'Dry Roasted Peanuts', and a bit of 'G2 Low calorie Electrolyte Beverage' (Which, they say only has 70 calories per bottle, and I have about 8 floz. It's the peanuts that I'm not sure about, are those okay?

the thing you have to know about a peanut that it is high in fat but very good for you. um instead of peanuts i would suggest eating one apple [no peanut butter though :) ] or a cheese string. but besides the peanuts good diet. hope this helps:)

No, they are loaded with fat. If you eat them your upper arms will be jiggling in no time.

peanuts are high in fat and calories, it's okay to snack on them, but you shouldn't have more than 1/4 cup.

well if you have 30 nuts, and one glass of the drink, it would be one protein serving, and one carbohydrate. that would be a good snack to have two times per day.

You're cute

Peanuts are probably the worst nut you can eat of all of the nuts. Almonds are the best, plain. It's best to get the most out of what you're eating and almonds offer that.

But it's not a bad snack...

the nuts are healthy the drink is not. you do not need a whole cup of nuts, try 1/4 of a cup. try fruits and veggies too

It's a good idea to get your nuts daily.

Peanuts have alot of fat in them...I don't think you should be eating a whole cup of them! Almonds are better for you, but all nuts are high in fat so eat them sparingly!

Peanuts are an excellent snack. They do contain a decent amount of fat however are high in protein if you are about to go work out. Nuts also help with nail and hair growth! Good Luck!

No, peanuts have sald which draines hydration in your bosy and the low calorie electrlyte beverage is a drink that is used for your body. None of these are permanet, but they do work temporarily.

The peanuts are ok unless it's calories your worried about. The drink would be improved by ordinary water.

Nuts are good for you..but they are loaded with calories.

Yes they are perfect! Good choice!
And im happy that you are watching what you eat even if they are just snack.
I though i was the only one!

Keep it up you wouln't regret it!

google 'peanuts" for carolare total......a avg snack nut can power you for 30 minutes.....

Dry Roasted Peanuts in moderation is a great snack. It is high in fat, but it's a good fat. Just try to keep it to 1 serving or less at a time (a cup is an awful lot).

Even better would be dry roasted or raw almonds.

As far as the G2, I would recommend water over that anyday. It is better than drinking super sugary drinks though.

Peanuts are high in fat, they are also high in protein and fiber.

Once cup of peanuts may be a little much. As well as you want to avoid processed beverages (the coloring, flavoring and refined sugars can be hard on your body)

However you are on the right track.

A slightly better snack

Water - Always drink water, it is cheap and delicious!
Celery sticks with unsweetened peanut butter. You burn more calories eating the celery than they do contain, so go nuts with the celery. An average serving of peanut butter is about 1tbsp. That will certainly kill that nut craving too!

they're loaded with good fats.
the g2 might be high in sugar

As long as you eat a serving size of peanuts, then they are loaded with protein. Eat a lot, like three times a day, and they get fatty

An entire cup is A LOT.

Total Fat 72.5 g

Saturated Fat 10.1 g

Polyunsaturated Fat 22.9 g

Monounsaturated Fat 36.0 g

A serving of nuts should be about a quarter of a cup.

I cup of peanuts is really excessive. It has approximately 828 calories (that's huge - more than 1/2 the daily calories one should consume if cutting back) and 71.9 grams of fat (this is about 111% of the recommended daily amount of fat).

While peanuts have lots of protein, they are not a suitable snack food when eaten in large amounts. Stick to portions of about 2 tablespoons.

If you're looking for something equally filling and convenient, try a hard boiled egg.

you have to be careful with nuts there very good for you but high in calories, if you eat them in moderation you should be ok. For example 1/3 cup of nuts can be about 200 calories or more just be care not to eat big quanties of it. Cheers

Penuts ARE infact healthy, BUT in small portions, Because penuts have healthy fats + some unhealthy kinds, which is why penuts consumed in smaller portions every now on then is ok to eat, but everyday is a NO NO... you will just gain weight in the process.

you could continue with what your drinking, and instead of penuts, you could try Whole-Wheat tortillas, which are INFACT really tasty.

The peanuts are ok. They have mostlt good fats when eaten in moderation. I bet the electrolyte drink is loaded with salt. salt helps the body retain fat. So I would just drink water instead.

I lost 30 kg or 66 lb in 3 months through healthy dieting reaserched by myself so I would know.

Good nuts: Brazil nuts, macadamia nuts, walnuts, pecans and almonds

G2 is sweetened with what? Aspartame, sugar? It has to go, it's unhealthy.

Natural fruit is always better than processed food you find in the store. Basically anything man has gotten his paws into has contaminated it with additives, preservatives and chemicals. Hence the reason the health industry is booming.

Buy a bag of organic apples or bananas and carrots. You will also notice the difference physically and mentally. Eating fruit will help you stay focused etc when studying.
As for drink, i would buy 100% fruit juice, make sure it is not from concentrate, or just drink water. Electrolyte beverages are mainly for people who are working out or running that need electrolytes very quickly.

Try beef jerky or celery. Both are very healthy. :3

the cup of roasted peanuts have a lot of calories. i bet at least 1000 cals and the salt (nacl) is probably over the daily allowance. that is altogether half you daily calories allowed for the day, probably. do veggies in the microwave and keep a calorie and fat gram book near you all the time. a new favorite of mine is a big sweet potato cooked in seven minutes in microwave. full of nutrition, low on calories (unless you use too much lo-cal butter). fills me up and full of fiber, too. otherwise, i am using prepared stouffer meals that provides exact calorie and sodium guidelines. bad food wrecks your heart and brain.

very hard to break the bad food habit. too much tv and too much pizza and fried chicken is addictive and costs billions in health care expenses. most of the national revenue goes to treating the symptoms of bad food. really.

yes of course!!! they will give u protein and are actually a very filling snack...they are also good for energy too!! i love eating honey roasted peanuts also!!!!!! i eat about 1 can in less then 4 days!
