Motivation for weight loss?!

Question: So I know I want to lose weight. I look in the mirror and I don't like what I see. The trouble is, I can't seem to find the motivation to get started. My problem seems to be those "skinny days" I have where I think "Oh I look fine", so I eat whatever I want and don't give exercise a second thought. I feel guilty after I eat something really bad for me. Anyway, I am just looking for some motivation techniques, success stories, anything you can give me to help me out here. I don't need diet or exercise plans, I already have one of those. I am looking for ways to get motivated.

Thanks in advance for answering politely and being helpful.

Don't think "weight loss." Think "healthy!" Make sure you are eating at least 5 servings of fruits and veggies a day. Drink plenty of water. Eat only whole grains, no refined starches like white bread. Include a little meat and low-fat dairy in your diet every day. Get a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise daily, and vary it so you don't get bored. Walk, bike, run, swim, dance, etc. Think and act healthy, and I bet the extra weight will just disappear.

it a good to losse weight if u need to becuase i need to loss weitght i weight about 180 pound do u think to loose weight 2

We started a biggest loser competition at work. We all chipped in $30 with most of it going to the person who loses the highest percentage of his body weight.

The motivation? ...I WANT that money.

(I dropped over 20 pounds in the first month)

Now if you think you look fine (even sometimes) you may not need to diet!

Be happy with whom you are

i'm currently on a diet and all i think is i'd rather be skinny and feel good about myself then eat that food.

I don`t know about losing weight but I`ve started to exercise because I was too skinny. So every morning I get up and exercise. And I`ve started to eat stuff that I don`t like but that are good for my health. Now I look better. THE THING IS everybody wants but you actually have to start and keep up the good job. If you start results WILL appear. Just do it, the first steps are the hardest.

A simple and free way to keep your motivation up is to find a like minded partner and both of you make a commitment to one another.

This will help on those "skinny days". Your having to be accountable to your partner may be all the extra motivation you need to keep on track.

Other things that you could do are join one of the support groups (Weight Watchers for eg...) or hire a coach.

Good luck!

You should consider doing a total body cleanse. Not a colon cleanse, a body cleanse. I lost 10 pounds quickly and 25 pounds in a month. I found it easier than anything else I have ever done and I feel so much better. I have more energy and actually feel like working out now. Before all I wanted to do was lay on the couch. Give it a try, you will be happy. You can get info from http://diet4cleansing.tripod.com or toll free 1-877-587-4647. Good luck! Once you make a decision you will feel better!

Use the end of Superbad as your example:

Buy smaller clothes that in fact make you look fat, then it will inspire you to lose weight.

See movies are good for more than just laughs, they help us define who we are. hahaha!

Edit: Well it worked in Superbad, doesn't everything that works in the movies, work in real life?

Think of how awesome your body/muscles will look.
That's what motivates me!
