What's the best way to change my perception of body size?!

Question: Ok, you know how anorexics have a distorted body image and think they're fatter than they really are?

I think I have the problem in reverse since I've gained a lot of weight. I realized after talking to a friend the other day that people I used to think of as overweight now seem skinny.

How do I set my perceptions of body weight back to the way they used to be? The last thing I want to do is lose 50 pounds and think, "wow, I look way too skinny!" when really I need to lose 120 to get back to my normal size.

Being overweight isn't always about how you look but how you feel. Try calculating your BMI (body mass index). And perhaps take your body measurements. This can be done on a monthly basis
Having excess weight causes so much risk and strain on the body. Try targeting a 10% loss then see how much better you feel energy wise. And other than that you already sound aware so I am sure it will work out fine.
Good luck.

You might try a hypnosis CD. They are usually big on those kinds of things. I can tell you that action motivates you to do your best, not the other way around. If you want to get motivated you need to take action first. I'm attending Weight Watchers meetings and have found out through reading and following the program they give you that even then you will have your ups and downs but you will also have lots of support and enough success stories to keep you hopeful. =) Good luck.
