Well doctors suggest that you lose 1-2 pounds a week. It takes 3,500 calories a day to lose 1 pound. So really, unless that's all you do in your day, is exercise, you can't lose a pound a day. I mean they only are able to lose so much weight on the Biggest Loser because all they do is workout. They are working out like 5-6 hours a day. So I would try for the healthier goal of 1-2 lbs a week. If you do better than great, but you don't want to set yourself up to be disappointed. Besides if you really want to lose weight, you need to do it in a way that you can live when you reached your goal weight. Otherwise you will lose it and then once you start eating again you will just put all the weight back on.

no

If you can, it's in a very unhealthy way.

Yes 3,500 calories is ONE pound. But its very unhealthy. And kind of alot of work. Unless your gonna plan to stay on the treadmill for longer than 4 hours...

normally my weight fluctuates like 2-3 pounds so i don't know

Yes Jumprope and run and eat lots of lean meat. Like Fish

take a laxative. Poo for the win!

healthy weight loss is 1-2lbs a WEEK.

well the HEALTHY way to loose weight
is loosing 2 pounds a day

but the apple diet is kinda healthy
but u loose more weight

its where u only eat apples and drink water

eat healthy and exercise like crazy and hope for the best.

oh yeah... water weight. Go to a sauna! you'll eventually gain the weight back, because its liquid. & you cant stay dehydrated forever! What I suggest is not to rush it.... but to take your time & eat sensible & work out 3-5 times a week. =)

you can lose more than 1lb, put its all water weight, you easily gain it back!!!!

i don't think you can but if you are trying to lose weight dont change to much about your eating habits just eat 3 meals a day drink alot of water and no sweets or soda

watch your intake of liquids...... eat sensible and exercise...if you drink only drink water that is water not all these vitamin waters just plain Jane water....

if i dont eat alot... i have a high metabolism

i dont know because its normal for your body to go back and forth on weight just eat healthy drink a lot of water and exercise this is the best you can do. but just dont try to accomplish this an unhealthy way it is not worth it!

fasting is the best way to start over on any diet and i dont mean diet to lose weight i mean the way and what you eat ,,, your food in general.
Some engage in water fasting as a detox diet. No energy is spent on digestion, other than to heat any cold water to reach homeostasis of a uniform body temperature. The fast is normally undergone with the intent of detoxification for greater health. The reasoning behind this is that less energy is expended on digestion of foods, resulting in more energy for the rest of the body to expel toxins as well as to recover and heal itself from the stresses digestion places upon it. Paul C. Bragg referred to this energy as the "Vital Force," and popularized water fasting with his many books, "Bragg Health Crusades," and success with Hollywood celebrities like Clint Eastwood[1] Other proponents claim that protein sparing minimizes muscle loss as the body adapts to the lack of incoming protein by drawing upon almost solely fat for energy. Even so, metabolism will slow during an extended fast and physical/mental activity should be minimized for safety reasons.

Herbert M. Shelton, a proponent of Natural Hygiene, supervised patients on water fasts for up to ninety days over a period of 45 years. Shelton claimed the hunger experienced during the first three days of a fast are "gastric irritation" and not "true hunger."

Joel Fuhrman, MD, believes that many diseases can be reversed through pure water fasting. These include asthma, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, colitis, psoriasis and various auto-immune disorders.

its a something you have to discuss with your doctor. then your body can adapt to whatever you choose to eat through the day then at smaller amounts...

if you dont want to go to that extremes

eat smaller meals through the day instead of the basic three with all the fixins space it out and eat very small portions it will keep you full through the day and will keep you from snacking in between

if you ever see those diet commercials drop x amount of pounds in 10 days. NO matter WHAT diet you chose you would lose that anyways because your body is flushing the excess water out of your system you automatically lose that amount thats why people feel oh this is easy then after those 2 weeks it slows down and you only start losing 1-2 pounds a week. but dont get discouraged this is the weight you are wanting to drop to begin with.
exercise with a proper diet in a month you can drop some serious pounds. never drop too fast as those can cause unwanted side effects on your health...

You should aim to lose at least 2 -3 pounds a week.Losing one pound a day is very unhealthy and it would be water weight you are losing.

If you are loosing a pound a day then you are not losing weight in a healthy way.

If you starve your self (going on a low-cal diet with only 500 cals per day) then your body will eat away at your muscles and you'll get weak and not be able to sustain the diet for long.

There are no short cuts to losing weight. You need to educate your self about what food you can eat. Then have a weekly workout program. You need to change your lifestyle and lose weight slowly so it will last until you are fit.
