Well first of all good for you on the training, great dedication! Just to clear these points up, Protein does not have carbs and it won't make you gain fat. In fact the more muscle you have the easier it is to burn fat. So You should be eating 5-6 meals per day at least 20 grams of protein with each meal, half of each meal should be lean protein and half complex carbs like veggies and whole grains. Do you know leaning down is 80% what you eat, and 20% working out? So really try to eat clean, and with your muscles will show in no time flat.
A shake is a great way to start in the morning try adding some oatmeal and some fruit and skim milk, protein powder with water is pretty sick, but I guess it depends which flavor you have. You're doing the right thing by taking protein after lifting weights, your body needs the protein to help muscle recovery and for muscle mass. If there's any time of the day that you can't eat, always have some protein powder with you to tie you over but don't take more than 2 scoops per day if you don't need it. Another good leaning down supplement is BSN's atro phex they've recently come out with some great supplements. it sounds like you need to get rid of the layer of fat and water over top of your hard earned muscles so I would try Atro-Phex or Hydroxycut Hardcore. They're both pretty potent so don't take as many as they tell you to! And you can buy them for less on ebay. PS the powder you chose is a really good quality one. Protein isolate is the only whey to go!

You should take at least your body weight in grams.
Either that or x1.3.

Try a gram per pound that you weight. So try for 230. That should be plenty. But also try and spread the protein out throughout the day. Only use the shakes as a supplement after workouts and such. Do not rely on them for all your protein.

I came across this great product for weight loss (all nautral) and it was excellent for me (it's a detox colon cleanse). Together with a good diet and exercise I am finally happy with my body and the way I look. You should check this product at
