If you are constipated and need a laxative, then it works just fine. If you are thinking you have pockets of gunk hanging out that need to be cleaned away, then no you don't and no it won't. The colon was designed to be self cleansing, as long as you eat a decent diet. You don't have pockets where stuff can get trapped unless you have diverticulitis. In which case a laxative would be the last thing you'd want to take. There are no toxins lurking in your intestines. Anything that could be absorbed already has been, and it takes chelation to leach it out of the body. And chelation is a dangerous thing, done only in a hospital to remove heavy metals- under continuous supervision by people who know what they are doing. Even so, it's dangerous. Nothing you take by mouth can leach things from the body. If it were stong enough to do that, it would be too strong and too dangerous to take by mouth. The stuff they sell as colon cleansers are just expensive laxatives, and diarrhea isn't good for anyone. Save your money and buy good food. Your colon will thank you.

There isn't any medical reasons to take them...(I researched it). So they probably work, but they aren't doing anything for you that your body won't do naturally.
