Yoga? Pilates?!


Question: hi. umm im 15yrs old.. a girl.
im thinking of going in pilates.. i need a stronger core to become the best volleyball player i can be. which would be better? yoga or pilates? and how does pilates give you a stronger core? does it actually work? the program im considering is a 6 week program, meant for beginners. it's an hour class, twice a week.
will i see results? and what kind of muscle will i get (if any) from this?

Pilates for sure! You keep your core engaged during movements and not only your abs, but it really helps with the legs, butt and back muscles. A good instructor will work you hard, but not wear you out. It's really centering. At first it might be hard to balance, but you'll get it after a couple times or less.
I've been doing it and feel muscles that I didn't even know I had! I notice that my lower, lower abs get a workout and the upper back, too. It seriously makes me feel good to go!
