Is 108 pounds normal for a 5'4 13 year old?!

Question: I feel so fat! I want to go back to being 100 pounds like I was before.

Answers: I feel so fat! I want to go back to being 100 pounds like I was before.

108 pounds is fine! if youre not sure check one of the bmi calculators online. since youre only 13, youre body is still growing so youre likely to put on a little bit of weight. but you are by no means fat! but its definately a good idea to maintain a healthy diet and do regular exercise such as walking or bike riding. not so you can lose weight, but just to maintain a healthy weight.

No that's perfectly normal.

Remember you are hitting puberty, becoming an adult, your body is bound to change and you are by no means fat. If you're feeling a little bloated, drink a lot of water, cut fried/sugary foods for a bit and join a school sports team or something.

:)

you are very thin.My daughter is 114 lbs and 5'4" and is considered very thin. I think you need to eat properly, exercise and whatever weight you are, just throw away those scales.

thats alright man weight don't matter much i'm a 15 year old boy and am 5 foot 2 and i'm going to sixth form next year lol, just dont care about it and have a laugh, i do

Yes, it is perfectly normal. Actually might be considered a little underweight.

Don't worry, hon. When i was 12 i weighed 84lbs and then when i was 13 i suddenly gained loads of weight and my body changed. everyone goes through it at about 12-14. It just means that your child-like body is becoming an adult body.

You are at a perfect weight. You will always gain as your bones grow and you get older. Just remember to get away from the computer and stay active.

hunny if i weighed 108lbs then i would be happy...u should love your body...im 5'5:-5'6" (somewhere around there) and i weigh 180 lbs.

yeah...thats good. your so tall that it balances it out. don't think your fat, i'm sure your beautiful!!!

You must be joking; or fishing for compliments. 108 lbs at 5'4" is thin... probably the low end of healthy-normal. The reality of hitting the age of puberty is that your body fat will increase to prepare for when you have kids. Don't mess with that. Coming from a woman who struggled with eating disorders for 20 years, there is more to you than your weight.

Your BMI actually borderlines on underweight. Yours is 18.5

Underweight = <18.5
Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
Overweight = 25-29.9
Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater
