Is 120 lbs 'fat' for a 14-year-old that is 4'11''?!

Question: So...I try not to compare myself to people...but everyone I know is stick thin and I've always been...well...short and not-so-thin. I'd really like an educated answer about this...not the "oh, you'll be fine" stuff. I did some BMI research online and it said I was "at risk of becoming over-weight". Should I listen to it? I don't know what to do anymore. I've been trying to diet....but I feel tired and hungry...and I don't wanna be anorexic. Please help!!!

It depends how you carry it. BMI doesn' take into account things like frame size and muscle mass. It's only even in question because of your age, if you were an adult it would be fine.

According weighttrackers2020.com, you are obese.

check on this website i did myself:

its reallyy good

Well...I would listen to it a little.
Just don't eat sweets and junk food and try to keep the calories down to 1200 or 1000 a day. That is not anorexic, that is about what you need if you don't to lots of excersize. If you excersize more you need more calories.
Eat lots of vegetables and fruits! It's true! It really works. It's not just something people say.
As long as you keep at it and eat things like diet Jello instead of chocolates and chips it should help.

Yeah, I entered you into a BMI calculator and you are at the 87th percentile for your age and height. Your BMI is 24.2, which (as you said) put you at risk of being overweight, as 25 and above is overweight. The person above me who called you obese is completely mistaken, don't stress it. You are possibly a little chubby, but that can be fixed with a little exercise and a healthy diet. Don't "diet", you're much to young. Don't restrict your calories, just eat food that nourishes your growing body, like fruits, veggies, and lean protein. And exercise is equally important, so don't forget! Get lots of it-cardio (running, biking, etc.) is the best for fat burn. strength training is the best for toning muscles so do a bit of that too. Don't start off with too much exercise. Find something you like, and slowly build up endurance until you get about 30-60 minutes a day. Good luck, and don't stress, you're still a kid!

Once you hit 5 feet the average weight is 100 lbs. Then for every 1 inch you gain 5 pounds. Eat less carbs and more fat, it will leave you feeling more full. Also stay away from high fructose corn syrup and high sugared foods.
