2-3 miles walking will help but they won't burn squat. Try running, swimming, eliptical or bike to burn those calories. Also weights are very important to do. Total calorie intake should be around 1400. Count those calories and you will probably find you are around 1800.

It takes years to put on wieght so it takes years to lose it. you have to feel starving for long periods of time so that your body eats your own fat.

maybe you eat too much? you need to make sure you burn more calories than you consume each day....thats all i know about dieting sorry! if i put on weight i go on the piss, mix my drinks and ill have such a bad hangover that i dont eat for two days. then when i do eat i cant eat much because my stomach has shrunk. bad advice but it works for me!

Obviously, the problem isn't you; it's the diet you're following.

I've always believed that you shouldn't completely deprive yourself of anything, but rather learn to eat things in moderation, and pay much more attention to portion sizes.

have you tried slimming world, my mother in-law swears by them. she loses about 2lb a week and still eats very well she even has chips twice a week. good luck

It's not easy to lose weight. You have to take in less calories than you're using. If you're not losing weight, obviously this isn't happening in your body. Check your diet more closely- are there hidden things you're eating or drinking that you overlooked before? You might want to try eating smaller, more frequent meals, as opposed to 3 "regular" larger meals. That worked for my hubby. He started eating 5 small "meals" a day, and within a week he started losing weight. Remember, though, a "meal" might just be 4-5 crackers and a small piece of cheese. Try to combine protein and carbs for each meal.

I can sympathize with you as i too have followed diets ,didnt cheat but didnt lose any weight .
This week i have started drinking lemon first thing in the morning , my friends tell me this helps .
I will keep you informed just keep going.

there is a disparity in the amount of calories you are taking and burning.try to have more vegetable foods and avoid maximum carbohydrates.take one multi vitamin pill everyday to cover the shortage of vitamin es.you will find good results within a period of 6 months you can reduce up to 15 kilos.it is not advisable to reduce all in a sudden .it will affect your general health

You are looking at the wrong side and not the bright side. Let me explain.

1. You are now disciplined
2. You are following a schedule/time table sincerely
3. You should be feeling better than earlier (you know your health better)
4. Losing weight is not important. Staying fit is
5. By the way, you have not mentioned your age, height and weight. First you should get to know what is the approximate you should be for your height and age.
6. Do not go for over-dieting and starve yourself.
7. I recommend running 3 miles rather than walking two miles
8. Consult a physician

I think on your diet you follow,me i dont follow any diets but i have a habit of eating healthy, watching calorie intake.go to the gym regularly, once in a while i cheat eating (junk foods) but when you work hard once in a while you deserve a treat it wont hurt as long as not all the time, trash you diet sheet ,sometimes the more your following your diet the more it just screwing you up.and beside if you want to lose weight be patient it takes a while before you can see the result.also try to avoid food and beverages w/ more than 8 grams of sugar and HFCS always read the nutrition label before buying drinks even energy drinks contains sugar so be very be careful to that. hope this help you.

try spreading your food intake to smaller portions, increase the fibre in your diet and no carbs after 6pm!

Could be a number of reasons:

Your diet could not be as low on calories as you may think it is. For instance; are your fruit drinks sugar free. Most fruit drinks have so much sugar added that whiskey or beer seem low sugar drinks! Same think can happend with other so called light or sugar free food or drinks.

Review and revaluate your diet plan.
It is not a matter of eating very little, but enough of the right stuff. Avoid or reduce sugary and fatty foods and sugary drinks. (alcohol becomes sugar in the body).
Avoid or reduce white flour products such as bread, pastry, etc. avoid or reduce chocolate and such fatty foods.
Do have veggies, lean meats (skinless chicken, fish, etc.), fruits, dark chocolate (in moderation and only over 70% cacao.) Have whole grain flour products, the darker the flour the better. (still read labels).
The glycemic index diet could be a excellent guide for you.

As far as exercise:
Do intense cardio twice a week for 30 minutes.
By intense I mean cardio where you can only say a sentence before needing to catch your breath again. If you can say more than that the level is not very intense. Not abel to say but a couple words and you are overdoing it. Find a intensity level that will let you do it for 25 to 30 minutes and that feels that you have done a work out. Keep it challenging within reasonable limits.
Power walk, run,. jog, cycle, skip rope, dance, team sports, etc. whatever you enjoy.
Do it slowly to build up to reach the 25 to 30 minutes goal.

Do some muscle tonning twice a week.
Muscles are the fat burners in your body, so they need to work (tone up) to get rid of fat.
Use light weights, elastic bands, body weight exercises (crunches, push ups, etc.) Whatever you like the most. No need to work out for more than 30 minutes every time.
Work your abs, lower back, chest, arms, shoulders, and upper back. (I guess your legs will get their work out from the cardio).

No need to kill yourself. Forget the no pain no gain rubbish. Just exercise to a point where you feel some muscle fatigue, but that you get over it in a days rest or two at the most.

The combination of cardio and toning is the most effective way to burn fat and rise your metabolism. So be constant, and at a right intensity level (no ovedoing it, but no waste of time either). This and proper nutrition habits will get you fit, and low on fat.
If you add the time devoted to this plan, you will do cardio for a hour per week and toning for a hour per week. That is a total of 2 hour per week in 4 session! (Two cardi, two toning).
Not bad at all, is it?

Good luck

I going to tell you quick and simply how to lose weight properly.

1. Reduce the amount of fat you consume. Eat more fresh produce and less high fat, processed food.

2. Reduce your sugar consumption. Processed foods and soft drinks have tremendous amounts of sugar. Why? Because they sell better and make companies more profits. So avoid high sugar foods.

3. Follow an 80/20 lifestyle. Eat healthy 80% of the time and indulge 20%. This way you can have your cake and eat it.

4. Eat small meals regular. Eat 5-6 meals spaced out during the day. This speeds up your metabolism and leads to the calories you eat being burned in the digestion process. Whatever you do don
