What O.T.C. suppliment will provide 35 grams of fiber a day?!


Question: I want to add much more fiber to my diet to help lose weight and hear that adding 35 grams of fiber will help. Its hard to find a suppliment that adds this much with out taking half a bottle! Can anyone give me a name of one? Thanks!

just eat two bowls of fibre 1 cereal a day, and ur fine.

dont forget to drink plenty of water if ur going to take a lot of fiber, otherwise u will get a bad stomach ache.

other than that, i wud say just to eat a lot of veggies and frutis that are high fibre, there really is no need to take fibre supplements. i eat around 30-40 grams of fibre and i only eat fruits and veggies. fibre 1 is what helps me most, with around 11 g of fibre pr serving.

some high fibre foods that u cud eat wud be:
Asparagus
Beans (string, green)
Broccoli
Brussels sprouts
Cabbage (red, white)
Carrots
Cauliflower
Corn, canned
Kale leaves
Parsnip

  • All you have to do is eat like 30 raisins for breakfast, add them to yougurt, cereal, etc., and you'll have all your fiber for the day. Each raisin contains 1 gram of fiber.
    But if you don't like raisins, Fiber Choice is sold in the stomach meds aisle of stores and is the size of a silver dollar and very difficult to get down. There's also Benefiber that you mix with liquids.

    Benefiber. You can add it to coffee/tea. Or pasta sauce or anything like that. It doesn't taste bad (only a heavier feel to the liquid). A tablespoon is about 4 gm. fiber. With a high fiber diet, that would certainly help.
