Of course it's bad.
You might as well be drinking a pop after working out!
Same amount of sugar, and u get the caffeine.
You are making your heart speed up in a good way while working out but once you take an energy drink you are speeding it up the bad way- both ways and you are causing injury eternally.
All energy drinks like that are junk and a media scam.
It's energy all right- right from caffeiene and sugar..so junk and drugs (yes caffeine is a drug).

Working out will give you REAL energy after about a week of doing it. You don't need that drink.
That drink will only make your workouts meaningless and give your body a hard time.

It's the equivalent to sucking back some sugar sticks..

As someone already pointed out, those drinks (like any other drug) give a high and a crash. Working out should give you a high all day long if you got enough sleep the previous night.
You're definitely on the wrong path with this scam drink.

And despite popular belief, you are more awake but your forcing your body awake with taht drink and so it concentrates LESS. So all the things you know and learn could have been ten times better ditching the stuff.

Fibre is actually said to keep people awake...odd but true. You can google natural food sources that help with concentration..

goodluck! try googling energy boosting foods.
Cereals may help as well.
I eat wheat cereals at night when I have ti study for an exam and it seems to help a lot. Report It

  • I used to drink one everyday for months. nothing bad happened to me...except my bleeding anus

its bad....Rockstar is so much better!

yes. i heard that they are bad. but idc i still drink them. :D

all energy drinks are bad for you

Energy drinks are bad for you. Instead of eating those, eat protien bars if you are an athlete. Athletes also, need more calories so, eating more calories will also give you more energy.

    bad

its VERY VERY bad for you, Red bull and all of those drinks are horrible for your health. It's all in your head whether you need energy, im a student as well.

    ewww bleeding anus?????

no if u read the can it says maximum is 3 a day, ur just giving ur body temporary energy, u'd get it in doses that help u bit by bit, instead u are giving it all at once to get an advantage

it's bad because there are just so much carbs and sugars and caffeine in that drink..yes, of course, you will get a big rush of energy after you drink it, but most likely, in a few hours, you will crash and feel really tired..that's what happens when people drink too much sugar at one time

I drank them alot before and once I stopped I got really bad headaches....like migraines but that is about it.

energy drink is defiantly a bad idea. The more you work out the more energy you will start to have it just takes some time. My advice is either drink a lot of water or if you feel like you really need some energy just go with some green tea. your body will thank you for it. energy drinks are really really bad for you.

There is so much caffeine and sugar in those drinks that if you have heart problems, they can really hurt you. Instead of an energy drink, why don't you drink a fresh squeezed orange juice or one of those juices like at Jamba Juice. That will give you the energy you need, plus will replace needed nutrients and water from your workout.

    RockStar

They r just as bad as drinking coffee.

drinking more than 3 a week is bad...playin a sport is a workout...or workout a couple hours before class then nap..

Energy drinks are bad for your health. Eat more fruit, vegetables and fibre like wholemeal pasta and bread and you'll see how much more energy you'll get. Stop eating heavily oiled food like pizzas and pies and sugary foods like cakes and sweets (including monster energy drinks)
Also stay away from carbohydrate loaded foods like white bread.

You might as well drink RockStar Zero Carb, it has 0 sugar and only 10 calories and taste great...berry flavored. Im addicted to this thing, but I had to stop drinking it only because I'm taking these certain pills that contains enough caffeine as a cup of coffee and I have to take 6 of them according to its chart!

monster energy drink isnt exactly good for your body and sure it might help you concentrate for a certain amount of ime but most energy drinks are filled with caffine and high amounts of caffine get you perked up for about twenty minutes and eventually you'll crash youll just get really tired and probably concentrate less

you should not have an energy drinl before or after you exercise, because they get your heart pumping really fast, and that on top of exercising can be really bad for you because your heart is beating extreamly fast

Monster isn't the healthiest of energy drinks, so I would suggest switching to NOS or Full Throttle. And energy drinks give you chemical energy used for mainly for physical activities than mental. By drinking the drink after you workout most of that energy becomes wasted.

    Bad.
After not having one for a while they really do a number on your stomach.

I would suggest just eating better in the morning, that should give you the energy to do what needs to be done through the day.

any kind of energy drink EVERYDAY is too much.
I am a monster drinker but I try to limit it to a couple times a week now. I used to drink it daily because of the hours I keep but then I noticed some cramping.
There are things in the drinks that when consumed daily can affecr kidneys and liver. You're better off taking a daily B vitamin..B helps restore natural energy.

I dont know about you, but I've tried energy drinks before and they scared me because my heart was beating wayy too fast. I think they're dangerous..

I drink one Monster Low Carb 4 times a week. They have extremely low sugar content yet still give you that kick you want! I have also tried the 5 hour energy drink, which is very small (and cheaper). It has low sugar and only as much caffeine as a cup of coffee! It's source of energy is B vitamins which causes your body to produce more energy, and because it is not loaded with sugar and caffeine, you don't have the "crash" afterwords!

The only real harm from drinking Monster is in-taking way to much, and mixing it with alcohol.
