GOAL: Lose weight

Aerobic activity for 20 to 60 minutes, three to five times per week, at moderate to high intensity

To lose weight you need to use more calories than you eat, so you burn body fat to meet your energy needs. Aerobic activities are best for burning calories. What's important is keeping up at least a moderate pace for at least 20 minutes at a time, and working out consistently at least three times a week. Depending on your activity, you can increase the time, the frequency, the speed or intensity, or any combination of those factors. Increase your activity level and exercise intensity gradually to avoid injury. It's important to add strength training to the mix because it takes more calories to maintain muscle, so your overall metabolism rate will increase. It's a good idea in general, too, because strength and flexibility helps everyone with their day-to-day activities.

Just remember if you are lifting weights you should give whatever body part you work out 24 hours of rest between weight lifting sessions.

I do 60 minutes everyday,sometimes more

i dont think so i do it and i think as long as you are motivated to exercise then do it. but try to do at least 60 / day even if you are just to tired one day and you do it for that long usually then it will be nice to give your bod a break. but while you got the motiation keep it up.

Exercising for an hour is good, your not likely going to burn out. If you keep a high intensity level throughout your workout you wont have to spend anymore than an hour in the gym, and you'll get great results.

It's not...

I have gotten great results from doing weights and cardio 5 days a week resting 1-2 days on the weekend. 60 minutes is not too much.

i do 60 mins of exercising in school every day
and i also go to the gym and exercise outside of school most days an hour a day is good
