Hi alll, i want to lose 3 stone by march 2009,?!


Question: i know healty eating and excercise is the way to lose it. but does anyone have any other tips? does the like of slimming pills or diet drinks really work and if so could you recommend some? cheers

I know too that healthy eating and exercise is the best way to lose weight. As I managed to lose 48lbs in just over 5 months.

I cannot give you any tips on slimming pills or diet drinks as I did not use them. Diet pills are dangerous, even the most natural sounding diet pills for weight loss supplements can be useless for weight loss, or dangerous or both.

Unfortunately, there is so much hogwash. There is no magic formula. If you lose weight too quickly, you will put most of it back on again. In particular, if you lose it by using diet pills or diet supplements. As soon as you go back to eating normally, all the weight will pile back on again, plus more.

So the key to keeping weight off for good is to change your lifestyle for good, or for as long as you want to stay slim and this is the way to do it.

Keep junk foods, ready made meals you buy in the supermarket and takeaways to an absolute minimum. These are high in refined sugar and high in saturated fat. They add pounds to the waistline. These can only be eaten in MODERATION ONLY.

Try to include more wholefoods in your diet, brown bread, brown rice and brown pasta - which contain high amounts of fibre, these will keep you feeling fuller for longer.

Eat lean meats, poultry, fish (with scales on, not breadcrumbs), eggs, vegetables (including potatoes, keep these plain and simple), beans & pulses, fresh fruit, skimmed milk, low fat dairy products, non sugary cereals, use healthy oils, (olive, sunflower, safflower, flaxseed and rapeseed).

Drink plenty of water, snack on fresh fruit only, cut your portion sizes down if you can, and stop eating when you feel full.

Move as much as you can. Exercise is really important. This will help acelerate your weight loss.

Keep it in mind that you will only shed pounds if you burn more calories than you consume. To lose a pound, you have to burn, through exercise or life functions, about 3,500 calories. So you will need to combine exercise with a healthy diet.

You have a goal set. Keep it in your mind and stick to it. You set a realistic timescale to lose the weight. If you manage to lose a pound a week you have done very well. If you can keep this up, then think long term and in just over 10 months you will have lost 44 pounds (3 stone).

the best way is natures way-eat less[on a small plate] at regular intervals,eat when you are hungry!AND drink plenty of water.if you are constipated all the fats etc are stored thus resulting in extra weight.WATER IS A BIG MUST!!

Afraid there is no safe, quick fix. It's healthy eating and exercise. Your goal should be easily achievable. Tablets no good as they all have side effects - like no sleep which make you irritable! Good Luck - I'm doing it too. It will be worth it.

I will be drinking copious amounts of water and excercising whenevr possible.Even though gym time isnt necessarily available,one can simply be as active as possible.

I shan't be bothering with different diet plans.Plain and simple common sense,excercise and water whenever i am hungry.

If you eat sensibly and exercise then you won't need any other quick fixes. You should easily reach your target by next March.

I found if you do a detox before (such as MasterCleanse-the lemonade cleanse..ill put info below about it) you will have a much easier time fending off cravings as it gets alot of toxins out of your system and kicks the physical addiction to foods. It also jumps your metabolism(what the cayenne pepper does) and you tend to lose quite a bit at first even though some comes back on when you start on solids...but good eating afterwards is easier and you lose it once again.

Ive dieted alot before and found this really worked for me, it really helps willpower when your body isnt killing you with cravings of bad foods!

Dont go mad on diets. Drink lots of water and get a good hypnotherapist. This will reprogramme your way of thinking about food and you will not deprive yourself of anything.
