Help with sweets and salty food!!!!!?!


Question: im tryign to manage my weight, but there are times i cant help it and i crave a lot of salty food like cheese chips or sweets like ice cream !!!! is there anything that i can take to low my cravings???? im trying to be away from diet pills or anything not healthy for your body!!!!

It's okay if you crave it, it's just a matter of not completely depriving yourself of it and then later binging on it. A good way to still enjoy it but not go overboard is to to portions. On the label it tells you how many calories in one serving. Take for example, Lays Potato Chips, 13 chips is 150 calories. So count out 13 chips and put the bag away. This way you aren't tempted to eat more than the serving size. It will get easier!

The only thing you can really do is take all the junk out of the house & keep your mind focused on something else.
They will go away eventually

First, you can work those into your regimen: say, allow yourself to eat ice cream every week (but DO measure how much). Some people even have a whole cheat day. But maybe you can do with just one ice cream.

Second, make sure that your nutrition is consistent, don't go too hungry, eat something to maintain blood sugar relatively stable. Also, some things are sweet or salty and can satisfy you - I doscovered that a sweet apple works for me oftentimes; for salty you could try whatever veggies you like - I like tomatoes - with a pinch of salt and spices. You can also do something like celery sticks + peanut butter and salt, measure the peanut butter well to make sure you factor this as a snack into your diet. In general, peanut butter is great - really helps me control my snacks. It adds a 100 calories and then saves 500 calories by preventing an eating binge!
