Getting healthy isn't as hard as it may seem, even if your on a budget. Try to get rid of all of the unhealthy and "trigger" foods in your house like cookies or ice cream. They are ok to eat on special occasions but not all the time. Eat a vegetable with every meal and fruits for snacks. By making this simple change you will get more of the natural vitamins your body needs. Probably the most important thing is exercise. Try and walk just a few minutes a day. It will not only help you become healthier but you will sleep much better. I hope I helped! (Remember not to go overboard. You might be healthier than you think.)

I'll make it easy for you. Only buy food on the perimeter of the grocery store. Nothing on the shelves. The food on the perimeter is more perishable, thus more fresh, thus more healthy, see?

Also, make it a point to go for a fast walk every day. Personally, I need to have a destination or I won't do it. So, every morning, I throw on some sweats and fast-walk to the coffee shop. I get a coffee for a dollar, then fast walk home with my reward.

It's easier to follow if you make it simple like I did.

1 eat right
2 exercise
3 stay active

Don't eat junk food

Just remember that anything in moderation is ok. But never forget your fruits and veggies. They really are the most important. And like she said above, fresh is best. If you want to add a little protein, go w/ egg whites, peanut butter (reduced fat) and lean fish/meat.
Try to walk as often as you can and if possible reduce the amount of sugars you consume. If you eat a lot of white breads, or white flour foods, it's not as good for you as whole grain ones. Look for High-Fructose Corn syrup on labels. THIS IS NOT A GOOD FOOD. Also, try to go w/low trans fats.
A good multi-vitamin is a good way of getting in some things you might be missing, also.

Hi

I think this is a very interesting question, which shows me that you are concerned about your health, but NOT overweight.
I want you to check out the following link, as there is a way to put your body on AUTOPILOT. Do not believe me?
Yes, it is true, as everything has to do with metabolism. Everybody of us has another metabolism, so you can only archive your goal, if you know how to tune your body.

I hope this helped. Please contact me if you have any more questions.
Check out my link underneath. You have nothing to loose, just something to gain and this is health and control over your body!
