How Can I stop eating Chocolate?, it rules my life.?!

Question: Read Paul McKenna 'I can make you thin' I did 2 years ago and lost 4 stone (gained some in pregnancy but lost it again easily) and I can honestly say that I do eat chocolate but I have not had any since christmas day!

I like chocolate, and I have it in the house, I just don't eat it anymore and its all to do with Paul McKenna's book!!!

don't buy it. or buy less of it and gradually stop.

Like a smoker quits smoking

reduce the amount daily a little each day

but don't completely quit

make bedtime your special time

have a different chocalate treat each nite

the sugar is good for dreaming

and the chocolate well its just too good to quit

Just buy a bar or two in a week, then slowly reduce it until perhaps a bar a month. You still get to enjoy the awesome-ness of chocolate ^_^.

Start smoking... :-)

SAY NO!!! WALK AWAY!!!

Stick pictures of fat people to your fridge

Don't buy them =O

A lot of fat in chocolate.

So eat it. It's not as detrimental as, say, smoking. (I quit smoking similar to the method that William F described.) Conventional milk chocolate, such as Hershey's is not that great. It's loaded with things like milk (conventional cow's milk, an industry I do not care for and do not support) and extra sugar so that the company can use less chocolate and save money. It's that stuff that is junky. Also, have it in moderation. The other evening, I got the idea to sprinkle some semi-sweet chocolate chips (they're actually cheaper than the milk chocolate and they're obviously vegan) on my nightly bowl of frozen fruit. While I will continue to do that, I won't do it often, as it's not only extra money to keep replacing the chocolate chips, but the are 80 calories a tablespoon. I'll stick with the glass of organic chocolate soy miok I often have with my fruit. Naturally, the organic chocolate soy milk is much healthier, complete with calcium, protein and other good stuff, like vitamins (and nothing added or questionable as what is in conventional cow's milk).

I also buy organic all natural chocolate chip granola bars from Trader Joe's. I often have one a day. (Yes, Quaker makes chocolate chip granola bars, but they are tainted with partially hydrogenated oil, corn syrup and/or high fructose corn syrup and other forms of junk. They're also more expensive at $3.something, for boxes of eight, where as the TJ's are $2 for six.)

I also make this cake:

(I've also seen similar versions as Wacky Cake)
with this frosting:

I start with the measured ingredients as listed, but add more since it doesn't seem to make enough. The last time I made it I used chocolate soy milk instead of vanilla and I think I cut the sugar a bit too, since the soy milk is sweet.

Because it doesn't have any fillers, dark chocolate is the healthiest. At a candy/confections making store, my husband found some sugar free dark chocolate, some of which has a coffee flavor to it. It's quite delicious.

Chocolate (especially dark chocolate) is actually good for your body. If you eat just a small portion each day, it won't be as bad for you as eating a lot everyday. Its pretty hard to give up chocolate (especially for women during that time of the month), so don't give it up completely, just try to eat less of it. But don't be afraid to treat yourself either.
