I think chocolate milk is pretty safe to drink. Milk, as you've heard, is loaded with calcium and other nutrients, and the chocolate is a good treat for you, with not eating any junk food.

The real issue behind Lenten sacrifice is this: where is your heart? Do you think God will be angry or disappointed with you if you spend Lent sacrificing the junk food that you can think of, and using the urges as motivators to remember Christ's sacrifice, but you still drink chocolate milk? It's better to have the right mindset, and fail at the sacrifice, than to do great at sacrificing, but have no desire to honor God.

Milk is full of calcium and should not be cut out of anyones diet so no milk is not a junk food - however, chocolate can be classed as a junk food so just have normal milk.

All food's junk if you consume enough. Moderate your intake and enjoy it. We all need our vices.

what i have learned is that you dont want to deny yourself totally. what you want to do is limit things like this. you can have some of it. just keep in mind your calorie counts so you dont overeat and you can have your chocolate milk if that is something you enjoy. it is all about balance. in the end, you dont want to create a diet, you want to eat healthy. if you make something unpleasant, you arent going to stay with it.

I would say yes beacuse of the chocolate powder thats added to it.
drink normal milk its healthier.

Try to find fat-free or low-fat chocolate milk. It's available.

.

come on dont worry much about it. if u have left all otehr junk food then taking milk chocolate is not so harmful. just remember dont take too much. just one glass of milk every day.

Instead of buying commercially processed chocolate milk (which contains LOTS of sugar) try buying regular milk and a reduced sugar chocolate syrup. I am very happy with Hershey's low sugar chocolate syrup. My wife and I use it all the time to make chocolate soy milk (she's lactose intolerant). We have found that the reduced sugar chocolate syrup even dissolves more quickly in liquid than regular syrup.

By making the chocolate milk yourself and using a low sugar variety of syrup, you can avoid all of the added fat and sugar of commercially processed chocolate milk and thus keep it from being classified as a junk food.

Hope this helps!

milk is not a junk food but it still makes you fat though. chocolate on the other hand can be good for you but if you eat too much then it is junkfood. if milk makes you fat, then chocolate makes you fatter. if you like chocolate milk so much i suggest you to get low fat chocolate milk.

yes it is.
your normal milk sickness is psychological
choco milk would also make youj sick if u were lactose intolerant

I think conventional cow's milk is disgusting and far from healthy. I do not drink it. I did not drink it before, during, or after pregnancy and am now nursing my daughter.

While I've not given up anything for Lent, I don't think the purpose of it is to find a substitute, does it not have something to do with self-denial and to "suffer" (for lack of better wording) the way Jesus did? (I'm a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and this Lenten practice is not widely practiced. We also do not give up red and white meat on Fridays.)

Although, if you want a substitution, try organic chocolate soy milk. It does not contain the questionable stuff and practices that conventional cow's milk does.
