Has anyone used the diets?!


Question: I'm doing some research and was wondering if anyone could give me some feed back on one of the particulare diets. One is the Protien Diet. Two protien shakes a day with high protien meal. (Not Aktins). Another one is the master cleanse. I was wondering what happened to you when you tried them did you lose weight fast? what exactly did you do and how long did you do the diet. Once you lost your weight as soon as you ate did you gain a lot of weight back? Has anyone stayed on these particular diets. If there is another diet that somone might have tried that is similare to one of these diets that has dramatic effects to weight lose please let me know. It's fofr one of my college papers and I need to hear from some people who have actaully tried some of these diets. Thanks For everyones Help. Please explain in detail how they worked or didn't work and what you did on the diets. How did it effect your mood ect... I want to know only extreme diets.

I once received a book from this guy I met who was telling me about this diet. It sounds alot like the "Protein Diet" that you're talking about. The book itself is called "The Anabolic Solution". You intake high amounts of proteins, and cut out alot of your carbs. The interesting thing about it is that during the weekdays it's the high protein, low carb.. but on weekends, you load up on carbs, while still eating the same amounts of protein.

I have personally tried this. It works fine, I did lose about 7 lbs in 2 weeks. The only thing is that you have to have a very strong mentality with it. We all know that we crave, and are even addicted to carbs... and well, our body does need carbs for a source of energy. Because of the low-carb end of this during the weekdays, when I would work out, I would have very little energy. I actually only made it through an entire workout 2-3 times, working out 5 days/week for 2 weeks. It honestly was horrible. I became very irritable. The other part that was bad is that if you walked into a grocery store, I could smell bread from the complete opposite side of the store. It almost felt like my body was going into a withdrawal ... for carbs.
