Curbing my Appetite?!


Question: I have mega issues with my hunger. I'll eat a meal and then get hungry again like an hour later. I also have strong, strong cravings for junk food and I can't say no. I tell myself I'm not gonna eat junk and then I do anyway. I just can't say no to the cravings, it's like an addiction. Any tips to curb these crazy cravings for junk?

Try some whey protien a couple times a day as a snack. It will help in stopping that urge. Another thing to do is eat every three hours. You body will get used to it and eventaully it will stop craving foods. But this takes a few weeks so you have to keep a strong mind set. The best thing to do is eat at home and GET RID OF ALL THE JUNK FOOD. That way it's not there so you just dont eat it. When the food is there you're going to eat if, but if it's now tormenting you then you will make it. But, the protien will help a lot.

Throw all your junk food away.

If you feel hingry after dinner maybe you need something more substantial i.e. a low GI food.
Or a mug of low calorie hot chocolate takes the pangs away for chocolate or junk food!

Water. Before and after you eat. Don't keep the junk around if you can avoid it. And take a walk or exercise when you think you want to eat. Or throw on some loud music you like and dance around your room.
Take up a hobby that you can do with your hands.

Drink a lot of water, sometimes thirst manifests itself as hunger.
Think about what you want and substitute it. If you want something crunchy instead of eating chips eat some fresh vegetables. If you want something sweet you could have fresh fruit or a smoothie.

I have the same problem. Drink lots of water to make you feel fuller quicker so you wont over eat. drink herbal tea, it helps with hunger especilally the kind that made for loosing weight.
