When is exercise enough?!

Question: I have been doing this grueling ab workout for 5 days straight now, can I continue to work out everyday, or should i give my abs a break somedays! i just want the best, quickest results! But am i hurting my self by not resting for a day or two in between?

As others have been saying, you do need to rest your muscles in order to allow them time to heal. However, you can alternate your workouts so that you still do something every day. Break your workout up into areas, arms & shoulders, back and chest, legs and abs, etc. and do a rotation.

If you're looking for a flat stomach, don't just do ab exercises. You need to reduce your overall body fat. The best way to do that is a combination of weights, cardio, and a healthy diet.

If nothing else, you will get burnout faster....take it slowly and appreciate the changes gradually. Fast results usually result in speedy quitting too....It is a lifestyle change that lasts, not spurts and sprints.

Exercise 6 days a week- always give yourself a day to rest your muscles and allow them to build.

But on the days you don't work out, make sure you stretch wel!

Do your work out every other day.

try 2 do abs 3 time a week,,it will help them to come out clear..dont do them everyday..this is the best and quickest way..

Now you can take rest for two days.

you need to have rest days to allow your muscles to build and adapt..work one day on one day off or two days on one day off otherwise all you see will be muscle swelling and you may get injuries

your abs respond like every other muscle in your body they need rest to get stronger.
try every other day and see what happens

you'll will not see your abs unless you do not nave fat in midsection
