First of all, diets don't work. All you need to do is eat in moderation.
Eat plenty of fruits/veggies and meats (1 serving size of a deck of cards).

I lost 30 pounds from merely eating in moderation and exercise (and that's after the holidays!)

You're not getting enough exercise. If you want to REALLY lose weight exercise for 30min-1 hour EVERYDAY. Don't look at movement as something negative.

The reason why you lose weight on a diet is because well..say I throw you out in the middle of the desert and you don't eat well. You're going to lose water weight and fat, yet...after you come back from the desert (stop your diet) and begin to eat normally..I'm talking 2000 calories a day..you'll gain weight because your body will cause everything you eat to be fattier than it originally is. It thinks you're starving yourself.

I hope you're not eating diet foods and diet drinks. You can search the net yourself for dangers on that.

Overall, you need more more more exercise. :D

no girl, you are right on track. :) Good job! Losing 2 pounds a week is optimal.

Make sure to eat every 2-3 hours to keep your metabolism running. Are you taking multivitamins, if you are not, please do so.

Also, if you can at least walk for 30 minutes a day, every day, that will be highly beneficial. Do not go overboard. Make it a lifestyle change. Make smart choices for food selection (so cut out all junk food). Eat fruits, whole grain bread, brown rice, vegetables, etc.

Good luck and please do not DIET!! no starviing, no overdoing it on workouts. Just take your time with it. You are young and are still growing, so please eat!!

That is VERY good that your losing 1-2 pounds a week. Thats healthy, you dont want to lose more than that! Its not safe.

Im 261 pounds, and im only 5'8. Get more active and go walk. I have a big back yard and I walk around it 30 minutes a day. DONT GIVE UP lol

It can depend on a lot of things. Are you near your menstrual cycle, what type of food are you eating? Its not all about calories. Stay away from sugar, flour, pasta, rice, etc. (these foods have tons of carbohydrates). Eat more protein like eggs, cheese, meats, etc. Don't eat a lot of fruit either because it has a lot of natural sugar. Good Luck.

Step up your exercise. You should be getting at least 30 minutes of exercise a day, 5 days a week, and maybe more since you're still young.

Your caloric intake seems good, but make sure its full of veggies, fruits, lean meats, vitamins, dairy, protein, TONS of water, etc.

good luck :)

I completely understand what your going through. I am 5'5 and as of last year I weighed 285 pounds. In the past eight months I have lost 75 pounds by dieting just like you are. On average I only lose 2 pounds a week. I know it can get disappointing, but it will come off slowly. But, exercise is VERY important... work hard when you exercise!

Just keep up the good work and don't give up even after a bad day. I wish you the best of luck!!

Yes there is deftly something wrong because I'm 5'2 and i only weigh 105,but I'm 12 so there might be difference.

Try to exercise a lot more and eat less.

Sweetness, I am sooo sorry for what we have allowed to happen to our foods & their sources...we trusted that our governing wonders were working in our best interests, but alas, they were not.

The meats & much of our dairies (milk, eggs, cheeses) are tainted with growth hormones & "medicinal" chemicals...our veggies & fruits are fed pesticides & color enhancers, from seedlings to maturity & then sprayed with preservatives after picking & again treated for packaging...our grains are grown in dead soils, so they, too, are toxified with chemicals so they grow fast & look good. The FDA allows all matter of chemical fillers & preservatives, heavy metal coloring agents, lots of artificial stuff like flavorings & sweeteners to our food to make them look appealling, especially to our youth.

Your body is an organic organism and these chemicals are not recognized by it's sensors, so it simply doesn't know what to do with them...so they get stored...all over your body...in fat cells, cartilages, joints. This upsets your metabolism unbelievably...your organs get sluggish in their functions, they block up brain sensors so it can't tell when something is going wrong until it is already serious, you don't digest the good parts well enough to get proper nutrition.

Instead of always worrying about calorie intake for the rest of your life (so no fun!!!) get the lowdown on what I've given you...learn how your body works & what it needs to run great...learn about reading food labels, & if you can't read it or don't know what it is after that...don't allow it in your diet, don't support bad businesses...they'll be targeting your kids next!!!

You see, Love, knowledge is power...when you put the effort into gaining the knowing, you empower yourself to be a great creator...including re-creating yourself in process...and you will always have the opportunity to pass that onto those you love through your lifetime...how awesome is that???

Here's a great place to start...www.herbalhealer.com--great info, and common sense ways of repairing & maintaining a strong body vehicle...it's just a start, though...keep seeking...

I wish you Good Journey!!!

2 lb a week is the normal amount of weight to lose.
At 13 you must eat less of the following: potatoes, bread, rice and pasta.

Eat more meat and eggs.

2-3 pounds is about a good average for a week. The first week you might lose more but thats only because you burn off alot more water in your body from excersising. Ive been around 1500 calories and working out for 1 1/2 or so a week and Ive lost about 7 pounds in 2 weeks.

give up your diet and become the queen of flubland!
