Have you ever had to count calories?!

Question: If so, can you help me? I weigh 325 pounds. How many calories should I eat to lose weight? (starting out) I have a difficult time walking and exercising right now because my weight pulls on my hips and back and it really hurts and I get out of breath easily. I think if I can get 10% of my weight off then I can start exercising often without the pains.

Try to cut back to between 1200 and 1500 calories. Thats usually the minimum most people can do and not feel hungry all the time. To maintain 325 lbs of weight you will be currently consuming about 3250 calories per day so if you can cut that in half you will lose about 3-4 lbs per week. (One pound is about 3200 calories).

I currently count calories. If I were you, I would start making changes to the diet first before starting exercise. Once you lose some of the extra weight and are able to move around easier, you'll feel better about exercising.

I use www.thedailyplate.com - it's free. You can enter your weight, height, age, etc in and how much you want to lose per week, and it'll tell you how many calories to eat. Your goal should be around 1% of your body weight per week.

Good luck!

You could also check out the slimfast website (it's free) there is lots of stuff on there. Good Luck
