Is it healthy to lose 30 pounds in 5 months?!

It's generally stated that 2lbs per week is a safe amount to lose :)

I suggest that you set yourself mini goals along the way. I've found it really helps to break up the total amount into small bits so I don't feel so far away from goal. Then I reward myself with something when I get there. It's a great motivator to keep going once you've hit one goal.

I've been using http://www.extrapounds.com/ to keep track of everything. I have a little tracker that shows me how much weight I've got left to lose until I reach target and how many days I have left to do it in.

ummm.k, well its healthy to lose a kilo a week. Whatever a kilo is in pounds is an ideal healthy loss per week. I can't convert atm... mental block...

It's not recommended to lose more than two pounds per week.

If you are dieting and exercising doing cardio and aerobic exercises, then yes it can be healthy.
If you are not dieting and you are losing weight then you require a doctors appointment and a blood test.

just depends on how you accomplish that. But yes, there is a healthy way to accomplish that which I'm sure involves plenty of water, exercise and not worrying about it, cause that will bring on so much stress that you'll reward yourself for being "good", by pigging out. Which btw, I choose Sunday as pig out day. I did find tho after a while that after pursuing the discipline for 6 days ... THAT A BOWL OF VANILLA ICE CREAM COVERED IN CHOCOLATE SYRUP, tasted EVEN BETTER, if eaten a few hours before bedtime, just to get over the chocolate rush.... TWO MORE DAYS!!! TWO MORE DAYSSSSS!!!!! *does toyota jump*
