Is this a good workout plant to lose weight?!

Question: Im 16 years old. 5'9 and weigh 261 pounds. Im getting a treadmill next month. If I walk an hour in the morning and walk an hour in the evening, will I lose weight faster than just walking 30 minutes a day? Ive already been walking 30 minutes everyday for about a month now. But the past week I havent because of the snow. Also I eat regular, but I control my portions. I try to eat more vegetables like corn. My brother did the same thing and lost a ton of weight just by walking.

Definitely stick with the walking and treadmill. Weight loss is 20% diet and 80% exercise.

Hello, I'm glad to see you are taking steps to lose weight, exercise and be more healthy.

When you eat vegetables try to vary your consumption. If you eat many different kinds, it is less likely you will get sick of them.

When you get your treadmill make SURE to do interval training as well as steady state training.

Interval training is when you raise and lower the incline or speed of the treadmill intermidently during exercise. This will prevent your body from adapting to the exercise as fast, and elevate your metabolism greater.

Try to perform some major muscle group resistance exercises when you are able to, such as squats and push ups.

GOOD LUCK I'm pulling for you!

If you walk for 30 minutes with short 1 minute bursts of jogging every 5 minutes...slowly increasing the jogging intervals as you build up your stamina you will see the weight melt away. Also when walking try holding a set of light weights as long as you can. Before walking, do a few sets of bicep curls, lateral raises, and overhead presses with light weights. You will burn more calories if you perform some resistance exercises prior to your cardio work.

Swimming would also be good, make sure to keep eating healthy, young people need about an hour of exercise a day to maintain their current weight but that includes walking to school, around school, whatever, so 2 one hour sessions on the treadmill is good :P
you just have to stick with it, might take about 6 weeks to notice a big/any improvement
