How many minutes do you have to exersize a day??!!?!


Question: I want to start working on ab exersizes,and I want to start seeing some results in 6 weeks.How many minutes a day should I start to work out??What should I eat?? And is it ok to eat some snacks every day??Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did 30 minutes of abs twice a day, results came slowly, it took a long time just to get coordinated enough to do them right. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, drink milk. nothing wrong with snacking if it is whole food, stay away from high fructose corn syrup.

i do about 4 hours a day!
(Gymnastics)It is so fun!!!but when i get on the bars it hurts like hell!we have a really big competition tomorrow so we have to be really prepared

at least 30! you can eat pretty much anything, just try not to eat too much junk food, for snack you can eat a yogurt

You should excersise for about 2 full hours but i think a recent study said 45 for teens. You should eat anything healthy not alot of bread, and actually you should eat a snack between breakfeast and lunch and between lunch and dinner becuase it keeps you going. But small healthy portions!

i think the minimum is like 30 mins every day to be healthy.. but.. maybe an hour would be good? =]

fruits and vegitables are really important.. try to stay away from the "extras" like chips/cookies/ect. and water is soo important and incredibly good for you. water drains the fats and toxins out of your body, and helps clear your skin from pimples and zits. uhmm.. a good thing is not to eat anything after 5:00.. and most people skip breakfast because they dont have time, but breakfast is actually the MOST important meal of the day! even if you just eat a banana or orange! try to eat 3 healthy meals each day, and a couple snacks like bananas or cereal bars in between is okay too. and.. well good luck!! =]

by definition, exersize is when your heart rate is elavated for more than a period of 30 minutes,

for an ab work out that should be enough.

as far as diet. for breakfast, fruit, other meals try baked chicken breasts and other non fattening things.

to get abs that show, doing a bunch of sit ups dont give all the results. over half the results come from dieting

What you will want to do is follow a good diet with lots of protien, fiber, veggies and dont (this is important) dont starve yourself. Your body needs the food to help turn it into energy which will then build muscle instead of eatting away at your muscle
I would suggest 30 minutes a day but not every day should you concentrate on your abs. your muscles need a day to recover, so every other day to some aerobic exersizes (jumping jacks, running, brisk walking, stretching, ect).
Also, make sure you stretch after you exersize... that makes your exersizing work 17% better
I went on the eating plan that Curves offers and lost 6 lbs but I eat 5 meals a day (2 snacks of fruits and veggies and 3 healthy meals)... But don't overeat.. it can cause you to gain.

you should really start with 30 minutes the first week, then gradually go up to an hour and so on. this is so your body can get use to the excersise as well as your heart and respitory system. snacks are good just aslong as their healthy and not junk food.*always warm up and stretch*

I excerise 45 minutes doing sit-ups and then I walk 2 miles. I go up a flight of steps for 2 hrs. NOT the only excerise I get is when I'm tipping my coffee cup back and forth to my mouth :) I think you got some pretty good answers here to follow.
