An exercise party?!


Question: I'm having an exercise party with friends who want to lose fat. What different exercises can we do and what snacks and dinner should I serve?

Also- what can you do with 5 lb weights to tone the triceps and lower arms?

d-efinately a dance dvd.. they are so much fun
or tai-boe if you have the equipement you can take out anger on each other's pads
-snacks such as hummus and veggies, deviled eggs and some fruit juice
-dinner can be something nice like a fully loaded salad bar that way you can create your own mixes
-to start stretch your arms straight out and hold for a warm up (as long as you can about 1 minute), you could also try a few moves from this website (ignore the buff guys eeesh) http://www.etricep.com/tricep-exercise.h...

Pop in a dance aerobics DVD, crunches, side planks, leg lifts.

Serve carrots/veggie tray, chicken/tuna salad and fruit.

Hold one weight behind head with elbows bent and raise above head, or bend over and kick arms back

for dinner serve some salmon or tilapia.... both are mercury free

for snacks get some honey stinger protein bars from whole food market

Get a pilates (sp?) dvd.. you will love doing this...get the one that is done by W... something can't think of her name..biggest name in pilates. This is a riot with everyone of the floor at once. If you have weights hold one in back of your head and drop your arms as low as you can...pull them back up breathing out as you do. At the top of the pull..push out 5 more breaths...take a deep breath in.....repeat 10 times. Your arms will burn..this is a really good exercise. Also put one weight in each had..bend from the waist..keep your head up arms to your side..slowly pull your arms
straight out ..lke wings..hold...return and start over. If you breath out during the exertion part of any exercise you CA N FEEL YOUR STOMACH MUSCLES COMTRACT.. you get an ab workout at the same time.
eat.. Yoplay thickand creamy light yogurt ummmm .. Make homemade vegetable soup. 4 cans of stewed or diced tomatoes..couple of cans of water (more later if you think itneeds it..) 1 can tomato paste..add carrotts cerlery onions all chopped...some seasoning..let it simmer for awhile while you exercise..smells wonderful..throw in a little whole wheat bread..top it off with low fat choc. milk!!
