How do i increase my bench press??? please read details?!


Question: i currently max out 200 im 6'2" 130 lbs.
im a freshman that will be playing varsity next year in sophomore year!! so what im trying to do is get my bench at least to do by the end of this freshman year is get my max to 125lbs+ so does anyone have any tips on what muscles to workout so tha will help me increase in my bench?? and also i though about taking creatine but i dont know if it works or not and what would happen if i stop using will i loose my strengh or what? soo can someone please give some advise!!! thanx

Your not going to be able to add another 125lbs by the end of freshman year, sorry. thats 325 pounds, and will take much longer than a year to reach that goal.

To increase your bench the best you can do is KEEP doing them. Each session keep trying to to bust out another rep,

say your benching 160 3 sets 10 reps
increase it to 170 and start off at 3 sets 6 reps, and each session try to increase each set by 1 rep. and when you hit 10 reps, you can add anothre 10 lbs and start over

The major muscles used in the bench are triceps and shoulders. So doing things like weighted dips, and military/shoulder presses can help.

stretching helps alot
and prevent from injuries
try lighter weights and more times
its much better than using heavy weights.
