Visiting an junkfood junkie this weekend- how do I stick to my diet?!

Question: I'm 15 and recently gained about 10 pounds in 2 months and I lost 5 pounds in the past 3 weeks. She only has junk food in her house and they eat a lot of fried stuff. I'm probably going to be there for 3-4 days- how can I make healthy choices besides eating next to nothing??

Take your food with you and JUST SAY NO! Visualize yourself getting through the weekend, succeeding with your plan, continuing to lose instead of suffering a setback. Picture yourself hitting your next goal every time you're presented with a challenge over the weekend. You go, girl!

take your own snax with you-that way you will already have them there and bring them out when you get there to remind yourself that's what you will have. maybe you can get your frien to eat that way to. be strong sister friend, breaking is not worth it to undo all the good you have done and your friend should not want you to

ahhhhhhhhhhhh don't look at the food, think of something healthy, do something that will make you forget eating junk food, just watch what you eat, put in your mind, "i don't need to eat that stuff i'm full.

Well you already know the key thing ... she's a junk food junkie. So I think you'll do fine. Bring a box of cereal (Cheerios ... somethin good that you like) ... ask if they have milk and if you have to .. bring it yourself. For lunch, bring a loaf of bread (I love whole grain) .. and some lunch meat, cheese, lettuce. For dinner, if you guys don't go out and you can pick what you want ... bring some low calarie dinners that you can microwave ... or if you eat what they're eating, just eat normal. Don't eat till you're stuffed. If you gain 2 lbs, no one is going to tease you ... just exercise, sleep good, and eat good after your weekend..... DON'T forget to have fun!! =)

Take along some good foods---protein bars, mueli bars, fruit (apple, banana, citrus), rice bubbles, potatoes to bake in microwave, celery sticks, carrots, can of Spam turkey, rice cakes, corn cakes, make French toast, buy coleslaw and cold meats or BBQ chicken. If you have your own food supply you won't be stuck with eat the junk food.
Be firm without being rude in refusing the junk. Tell her you are changing your eating habits to be a fitter athlete or person. If she sees you are comitted to your quest and am enthusiatic to keep to your goals she'd be likely to understand.
