Question: What exactly are the benefits of doing walking lunges and squats? I understand that it helps tone out your butt and thighs but.. does that mean it makes it bigger or what?

Lunges and squats work your gluteal muscles, your quadriceps, hamstrings, adductor, abductor complexes, hip flexors and calves.

This is usually around 50% of your muscle mass. Performing resistance exercise with this much of your muscle mass elevates your metabolism. This means you will burn more calories for up to 48 hours after performing a good session of lunges & squats.

This means if you eat the same diet, and your diet is good, you will lose fat around your whole body, which will make you look more toned.

If you eat a high calorie diet, you could make your legs and butt a little bigger, but you will not get "too muscular"

They are BY FAR the most effective exercise ALL females should do to be in the ideal shape they desire.

i can if you use weight on your ankles I guess but not too much with out them

It doesn't make it bigger, it makes it tighter and more muscularly defined.

Your butt and legs will just look better, not bigger.
Make sure you use correct technique or you could hurt your knees or back.
