Are ab videos considered aerobic exercise?!


Question: If you done any type of movement, in succesion at a certain rate/pace for an amount of time it would be considered aerobic. Proper abdominal exercises should actually be done in a slow continous manner under constant strain. But, if you wanted to execute, say 60 situps per minute for 40 minutes straight, yeah that would count as an aerobic exercise.

Aerobic exercise is anything that raises the heart rate. I don't think ab exercises do that enough to call them aerobic.

Yes, but you have to get the breathing right, with the different parts of the workout.

I visualize mysef doing the exercises on the video-that way I don't have to get off the couch or sweat. Visualization works well for me, so it is possible to get my heart rate up-much like I can get my heart rate/blood pressure up when my husband fails to take out the trash. So yes, if your technique is right-it would be aerobic.
