How can I decrease my appetite?!


Question: I think I have a problem with food. Sometimes I eat when im not even hungry, just cause Im bored. But when Im hungry I could eat a freaking horse. I need to do something to decrease my appetite......I've been trying to lose more weight. The first 25lbs was easy, now it's getting hard.
Please don't give me a superficial answer. I want facts, or links. Thank you.

Don't. Eat the right foods, and eat them whenever you have cravings. That will keep your metabolism healthy. Avoid fats as much as possible as well as simple carbs (sugars). Proteins will almost never be converted to fat, and complex carbs (breads and veggies) can be converted to fat if you are inactive and have a slow metabolism.

And i don't recommend this, but if you really want to, you can buy some appetite reducers on bodybuilding.com.

hi , i used to have ur proplem and i iam still dealaing with it but finally i have knew the way, if u want to decrease ur abetite try to to ignor thinking of food u may think that why u are the over weight girl that no body wants to talk with u , try to plam ur self for being fat. on the other way if u cant decrease ur abetite u may eat usfel food as the vegteables and the fruit u can it them any time with any amount.

try drinking more soups and juices ................your tummy will be feeling full

Lots of the time we do **** to ourselves bodies because we have nothing better to do. some ppl have lives. i am the type i kno when i m actualy occupied, cause im a young teen alot of the time im not, im actualy like insanely happy. i have no time to think about all the **** i sometimes think about that distresses me or causes anxiety. and lik u, when i have access to food i eat if im bore.d all i can say is find something to do. it seems like hard, especially if nothing seems to entertain u like the idea of food. well, just find something else and do it. lik today, i dont have many plans, but i plan on going at least out of the house, going to the mall, takin a walk, when i get home, ive been doin that lately, and when im inside, instread of bein online, ill b playing music, drawing, or doing my school work, cause i can play really well, and draw well for my art class, and do work, but i dont because im lazy and im kinda addicted to coming online, and lookin up answers/writin questions, searching random ****, and thinkin to much about **** that honestly does not make me happy. so find other things to do. good luck :)

I know of 3 ways that works for me.
1. Eat slow and healthy. Foods with fibers will cause you to loose your appetite faster than foods with a lot of sugar.
2. Exercise. I have found that the more I work out the more I become thirsty, but the less I become hungry. The food you eat burn faster when you exercise.
3. Keep busy. As you noted you tend to eat more when you are bored, as eating has become a habit rather than a need. When I am busy with things I love, I tend to forget to eat. Find hobbies that keep your mind occupied and stay away from doing things that keeps reminding you of food.
