Losing a stubborn belly pouch (from 4+ years) is it possible? hate that big pouc!

Question: Im 20 years old and since I was about 14 I put on weight that i never really managed to lose. My freshman year i gained about 15 pounds I was weighting 175lbs and Im 5'6. I went to a nutritionist who gave me a diet and with exercise I managed to lose weight until I finally reached my goal of 138lbs. I exercise 4x a week, cardio and sometimes weight training I have a fat percentage of 18% and although i still have some pounds i would like to lose Im mostly worried about my belly pouch. Its weird, ugly and just gross. You can actually see the pouch just begining like an inch above my belly button and ending about 4 inches below it. the rest of my stomach is somewhat flat. I've always had it but it didnt go away or even reduced when i lost weight, the rest of my belly did but the pouch didnt. Im wondering if it's ever going to go away, does fat from years take even longer to get rid off or will it be same as the rest of fat you've just gain? Please can someone with experience help me out

First congratulations on your weight loss that is a great change you made and I know it came from a lot of hard work. Its not because its "old" fat, but it sounds like your genetics cause you to mainly deposit body fat on your stomach. I am the same way, I didnt begin to lose much off the belly until I got below 10% body fat. The best I can recommend is continue the exercise program you are doing and possibly alter your diet somewhat to take in fewer calories. I cant recommend a specific diet because in my experience some diets work for some people and some dont, so I would say just experiment some with different calorie/carb intakes.
