Should I drink a protein shake before, while, or after working out?!


Question: i work-out 6 days a week, and drink a protein shake after i work-out, every other week? am i going about it well, or should i be drinking it at another time?

DO NOT DRINK ONE BEFORE AND AFTER!! it is best to drink one after. if you drink one before, then your body will just burn off the protein and you will gain no mass. if you drink after you will gain mass and benifet from the extra protein.

I drink mine before and after.

it usually works just as well if not better to drink it before hand, then the body's mechanics speed up as the heart rate does during exercise, getting the protein to the muscles earlier.

after you workout

You drink protein shakes afterwards. Protein Shakes help give your body the calcium it needs to build muscle.

If you want to gain weight, try taking protein before you go to bed and as soon as you wake up. In between during the day eat lean and healthy.

You should have 1 scoop of protein powder before working out and another 2 scoop shake within 20 minutes of finishing your workout.
