What is the best way to monitor one's heart beat with monitor while walking !
Question: Is there now any type of product out that one can wear like watch only, not the chest band, that will correctly monitor one's heart pulse, my friend has a hole in the back of her heart, but her dr. wants her to walk and I thought it might make her feel more secure watching her pulse. ??? thanks

There are wrist band monitors that measure heart rate and blood pressure. I think places like Wal-Mart may even have them. But the easiest and cheapest way is to periodically check her carotid pulse (in her neck). I suggest she always have a friend with her when she walks.
