Help my stomach?!


Question: my stomach hurts when i eat to much so i just eat once a day or twice but i dont no if thats bad. I eat two or three things like a piece of bread or a bannanna and even than its two much. my chest hurts to when i eat. help me my stomach growls all the time but im not hungry. what do i do?

go see your doctor.

Your stomach is just might be small and the more you eat, the more your stomach will expand (which means you can hold more food without it hurting). GO SEE A DOCTOR if this persists though.

you may have an acid reflux problem.

It sounds like your digestion might be slowing down because you are not eating right. Gas is building up in your stomach. If you want to feel good you must eat 3 small balanced meals a day. To get back on track. Try oatmeal or cold cereal w/ milk for breakfast, a hard boiled egg, whole wheat toast w/ smart balance spread, small orange juice and tea or coffee.

For lunch...a sandwich on whole wheat or oat bran bread tuna or luncheon meat w/lettuce and tomato & juice or water to drink. Have some fresh fruit or non sweatened applesauce for dessert.

For dinner keep the meal balanced too...broiled fish or meat starch vegetable and other vegetable. Have fresh fruit or applesauce for dessert. Drink tea, coffee, or water with your meal. These meals are not large but it should get your digestion working better again. And...do not drink carbonated drinks (with fizz)...not good for your digestion at all. If you don't know what to drink, have water. Also, try drinking some mint tea. This kind of tea will help your stomach.

When your chest hurts, it sounds like heart burn. I had it once so bad I thought I was having a heart attack.

Another time, I thought I was going to die because of pains in my stomach. I could scarcely move. No one was home in case I passed out, so I crawled to the phone and called my doctor. He said it was gas and told me to take an over-the-counter gas reducer. I felt better right away because I realized I wasn't going to die.

In case you think I am weird, I am 65 and those are the only 2 times anything like that has happened to me. LOL

You need to eat more than you are right now. It is best to eat three to six times a day (six if you eat small amounts). Not being able to eat is not normal. You need to see a doctor if the ideas below don't work.

It is possible you are allergic to wheat (because you mention bread). Sometimes we crave the things we are allergic to.

Try not eating bread and stick with fruit and vegetables for a couple of days and see if there is an improvement. My allergist said to check out if you have a food allergy, eat only green beans for a week and then add one food at a time. I don't know if this is even reasonable to try, but adding one food at a time to what you know doesn't make you sick should help you pinpoint what's causing the problem.

A friend had an allergy to wheat which he found out about at age 45. He always had energy and was very active and intelligent. He said that when he stopped eating wheat, it was like a veil was taken off his mind and body.

I just checked out fear of eating, but that doesn't sound at all like what you have. http://www.changethatsrightnow.com/probl... It is a real phobia like fear of spiders and causes the same type of reaction.

I hope you do something about this soon as you don't want to get weak from not eating. That can make you feel worse than you already do. Be sure to drink plenty of water. Good luck.
